The Fuzzy Nerds, the beam album & the “microsupporters”.

    The Fuzzy Nerds band adopted beam technology in their albums distribution from the early days. Having a wide free distribution of the first beam format (known as “the Digital Album”), shifting on Beam, resulted in the appearence of a new sponoring tool for artists.
    Microsupporters” are individuals or companies, paying a small amount of money to contribute to a music (or audiobook/photo) album in exchange of a banner placement in the bands’ Beam Album (in the Browser Area). 

    The Fuzzy Nerds got funding from their local area and got banner placements on their beam album from

  • studio where album was recorded (ArtTracks Studio)
  • the local radio station (Studio E)
  • a major local guitar shop (Ntoukas Guitars)All Microsupporters placed a banner inside the fuzzy nerds beam album browser, getting exposure every time the beam album is opened by the fuzzy nerds fans.

Eva Theotokatou and ION Amigdalou Chocolates

    DJ and radio producer Eva Theotokatou released her debut Compilation CD (by The Sound of Everything) also availale in Beam Format. Release is sponsored by one of the most popular chocolate brands in Greece, ION Amigdalou.
    Eva’s beam album is gradually offered by ION Amigdalou for limited number of people for “free”.
    Each Beam album offering (enabling free download in specific dates and for limited number of people) features 

  • 4 tracks of the compilation in the music part of beam album
  • album creative part and a branded page (ION Amigdalou) inside Beam Browser . The Branded Page is linked to the Eva Theotokatou Blog, also powered by ION.
